Wicker sofa, sofa chair and bed furniture sold at Wayfair in New York City for $1,495.50.
The furniture is a Wicker Outdoor Outdoor Furniture Wayfair sale, which features several items from the company’s portfolio.
One of the items is a $1.75-million vintage-inspired sofa, which is the largest in the collection and the first to be produced in the United States.
The sofa was first created by William O. Grosz, who served as the company CEO for more than 20 years.
Grosz sold his shares in Wayfair to his son, David Grossz, in 2007.
The sale of the sofa sparked a bidding war for the sofa, with other companies bidding on the item, according to the New York Times.
The New York auction house sold the furniture at a high price, with bidding starting at $1 million.
The sofa was reportedly auctioned for $9,495,000.
